Why are rich people superstitious?

First, anyone who asks such questions reveals their own bias, assuming others are deluded while positioning themselves as “the only sober one.”

Little do they realize, countless people are trapped in illusions they can’t perceive.

Second, never underestimate the intelligence of the wealthy. 

Because when thousands of troops and horses are crossing a single-log bridge, to stand out from the crowd and amass considerable wealth, it’s not just about luck.

One’s personal competence and character won’t be mediocre.

Just imagine: for a single startup, one must manage personnel and handle affairs big and small.

Now consider, what about a corporate group?Do you think these people are fools?

They’re not.
In fact, they access broader information networks and exhibit greater open-mindedness.

Why? They understand rigidity backfires. Leaving room for maneuver preserves future opportunities.

Meanwhile, many struggling people drown in self-righteousness.

Their “fearlessness” stems from having no foundation, not a single socially influential ancestor across generations. 

Even if you count a few generations ago, there is no one with social status at all. A family must have at least one knowledgeable person in a few generations.

If you look carefully at some of the rich families nowadays, you will find that most of them are officials and businessmen.

Guan Xiaotong’s ancestor Guar Jia is one of the eight major surnames of the Manchus.

Li Ka-shing’s grandmother was once Zuo Zongtang’s concubine.

Fan Zhongyan wrote the famous saying “Be the first to worry about the world, and the last to enjoy the world”. His family has been prosperous for 800 years, and his descendants have also benefited from it. According to a local friend, his descendants are now living a very comfortable life.

Whether they are officials or super-rich, they all rely on the blessing of their ancestors. It is impossible without a foundation.

Most of their ancestors were outstanding people, and there are very few people who really come from ordinary families.

Liu Qiangdong: Founder of JD.com. His ancestral home is Xiangtan, Hunan. His great-grandfather moved to northern Jiangsu and did cargo ship business in Luoma Lake and the Beijing-Hangzhou Canal. Ma Huateng: Founder of Tencent. Father Ma Chenshu is the director and deputy general manager of Shenzhen Yantian Port Group.

A case in point: a friend who reaped windfall profits a few years ago.
Paradoxically, while claiming skepticism, she zealously worships at temples!
Yet she remains utterly clueless about the “game” elite magnates play.
