Cultivation: Identical in Principle, Radically Different in Essence
Preface:
This article analyzes the principles of cultivation from a scipeentific persctive. It may involve some fundamental physics knowledge, taking you back to high school physics.
Or, present speculative conjectures bridging science and metaphysics.
This is purely fictional literary creation and does not guarantee authenticity.
Cultivation shares universal principles.
Love and Energy.

【Love】
Many practitioners know love and devotion are core to cultivation.”A cultivator must embody love, for love is the heavenly way.”
A friend once studied yoga under a renowned teacher trained by an Indian master.
This master disdained wealth and beauty, consumed only by spiritual pursuit.
He could meditate motionless for days, seeking unity with the cosmic order. His disciples mastered yoga to perfection, all to harness celestial energy.
Yet throughout history, none, however famed, truly opened cultivation’s gate.
Thus, this yoga teacher (who initially served elites) began instructing beginners, upholding her tradition’s ethos of “love and devotion.”
Most modern practitioners excel in this: acts of charity, almsgiving…
This is “performative virtue”, charity staged for heaven’s eyes.
Believe me: their intentions may be pure, but these acts never touch their core interests.
Such interests aren’t always monetary—fame, status, or spiritual resources matter differently to each.
When threatened, all change.
A world-renowned master cannot stoop to beg for heaven’s truth.
In temples where vast wealth flows, political strife festers. A Sichuan-based friend acquainted with Tibetan monks confessed: “Even they scheme constantly.”
Thus, heaven seals cultivation’s path for good reason.
Should such souls ascend, their once-pious facades would shatter—they’d challenge the gods themselves.
Countless cultivation methods exist in the world, yet not a single one is authentic.
A Tai Chi friend I met some time ago, who studied under a master from a renowned and major school on a famous mountain, admitted that although his master possessed a profound understanding of Tai Chi, he couldn’t attain truly pure positive energy.
Because, no matter how much you practice, it’s all just circulating energy within your own body.
If you want to obtain universal energy, there are inevitably strict barriers!
Without guidance from a truly elevated master, no major school, no matter how renowned, can resolve this.
My friend himself has very high attainment; his mind is calm, and he is wholeheartedly devoted to cultivation.
He is extremely perceptive. He said that the very first day he recognized this place, he sensed something different.
He later said one sentence: “No one in this world could possibly offer something like this anymore.”
He originally wanted to guide his own master onto this path too, but it’s very difficult.
It can be said that there are many good people among the world’s cultivators, and their devotion is sincere, yet they only want to directly link with the universe.
That is to say, they want to be the direct beneficiaries.
The core essence is that they cannot let go of fame and gain. Even if they have seen through worldly wealth, they haven’t let go of the fame and gain within the cultivation world; they still desire the supreme positions.
Ultimately, their earthly minds are still too burdened. If they cannot pass this barrier, there’s no way to knock open the great gate of true cultivation.
This is even more true for those who already hold a certain status; it is absolutely impossible for them to lower themselves and seek the true path while clinging to their current fame, gain, and position.
Except for genuine cultivators!
Spiritual wisdom differs, so the thirst for knowledge and inquiry into the Dao also differs! This has nothing to do with an individual’s worldly position.
People who are considered noble in the secular sense are still extremely insignificant before Heaven and Earth!
Heaven and Earth last forever, while humans last only a few short decades!
【About Energy】

Energy has already been extensively studied in science.
Scientific magnetic fields and electric fields are neither composed of molecules nor atoms; they are invisible and intangible, but they undeniably exist.
Scientific research also indicates that humans possess their own magnetic fields.
Some friends have even tried machines that measure the human magnetic field. Some people emit yellow light, others red light, while those seriously ill emit dark, shadowy light.
They asked me if this was accurate.
I can only say it can serve as a reference. To truly see the magnetic field, one should look to cultivators, because, after all, the magnetic field is also a process of change.
The Dao (the cosmic principle) cannot be unchanging and fixed.
To put it more bluntly, the “negative energies” attached to a person are flexible, right? When you measure, they might leave, and return after the measurement is done.
You see your light is yellow and think, “Great, I’m quite positive energy!” But in reality, scientific instruments have too many limitations.
It’s like I often say a compass cannot truly measure Fengshui. Ordinary people don’t believe it.
In truth, Fengshui is also alive. Heaven, Earth, and nature are all alive, it’s just that ordinary people don’t realize it.
Many scientists spend their entire lives pursuing how to connect with God.
Smart people still think clearly.
Because they understand this point well: the Creator is the one who holds the core resources!
Einstein, in his early years, was also a staunch materialist, believing all the internal laws of the universe could be explained by physics.
But around age 50, when interviewed again, he admitted he was not an atheist, and that atheism had actually limited his thinking.
“The harmony of natural law reveals an intelligence of such superiority that, compared with it, all the systematic thinking and acting of human beings is an utterly insignificant reflection,” were his exact words during an interview.
And China’s famous physicist, Chen-Ning Yang, stated in an interview: “I believe in the existence of a Creator.”
The father of quantum physics, Max Planck, and Erwin Schrödinger, the physicist whose cat is more famous than him, were both believers in “God”.
Planck proposed the quantum principle, quantum theory, meaning that physical quantities exist in the smallest, indivisible fundamental units.
Therefore, sunlight also has energy. However, when ordinary people bask in the sun, they only feel thermal energy. This kind of energy source can be transformed into kinetic energy, electrical energy, etc., using scientific methods.
But it is cultivators who can experience another layer.
Schrödinger’s Cat Experiment
This experiment places a cat in a container with radioactive radium and cyanide. If the radium decays, it triggers a mechanism that breaks the cyanide bottle, killing the cat.
If it doesn’t decay, the cat doesn’t die.
According to quantum theory, the radium exists in a superposition of both decayed and not decayed states.
Therefore, the cat exists in a superposition state of being both dead and alive. This is Schrödinger’s cat. You must open the container to know the result.
However, the act of opening the container itself changes the superposition state.
This is very metaphysical!
Much scientific research actually has concepts that appeared very early in Daoism. This is similar to Daoist Yin-Yang philosophy, similar to the Daoist Ba Gua diagram (Eight Trigrams), representing a state of mutual transformation between Yin and Yang.
There’s also quantum entanglement, which was very popular recently.
No matter how far apart two photons are, measuring one photon affects the state of the other.
Quantum entanglement reveals the non-locality between particles; this connection transcends the limitations of space and time.
It is a very strange and mysterious phenomenon.
This is why many people can have precognitive dreams, even dreaming in their childhood about things that will happen ten or twenty years later.
Quantum entanglement has similarities with the Daoist concept of “unity of heaven and man” (Tian Ren He Yi). It indicates that everything in the universe is interconnected.
Einstein famously called it: “spooky action at a distance.”

[Invisible Companions]
Therefore, regarding “invisible companions,” to put it more civilly, you can regard them as quanta, or simply call them energy!
However, the vast majority of practitioners who meditate, practice mindfulness, or do yoga absolutely cannot penetrate the underlying principles of this energy.
The fundamental principle of cultivation is the same: energy.
But how can you distinguish what is good energy? What is dark energy?
In the next installment, I will publish a basic guide on discernment methods.
The universe is vast and boundless—who can guarantee that the energy you painstakingly seek through deep contemplation will be that of light and love?
No one knows, because those teaching you haven’t even pondered this question. They are like helpless infants crying to be fed, hoping the universe, like a mother, will pity and care for them.
Any system of rules prioritizes its own people first, and this colossal cosmic system is no different.
Meanwhile, the dark “companions” soaring alone through the universe certainly don’t mind having more humans summoning them this way.
Therefore, sensible cultivators seriously warn those interested in cultivation: they tell them never to practice alone, absolutely never to meditate casually, because what they connect with are entirely “negative entities.”
Once, a friend saw many celebrities meditating and, out of curiosity, followed an online video to try seated meditation. After just a few minutes, with eyes closed, he saw a skeletal face far off in space.
Originally, the skeleton hadn’t noticed him. Terrified, my friend suddenly opened his eyes! Yet, driven by morbid curiosity, he foolishly closed his eyes again to sense the skeletal presence!
This time, the skeleton instantly rushed right before his eyes. My friend’s heart jolted violently in fright, and he never dared to meditate again.
Since that day, his heart frequently misses beats.
To truly obtain good energy, you absolutely must not constantly seek the boundless energy of the vast cosmic expanse.
After all, 99.99% of people are still on Earth. Why not lower your head to look around and walk with your feet firmly on the ground?
Cultivation lies in the character 行 (xíng) – meaning practice, action, journey.
Most people only want to obtain the universe’s energy; they do not wish to abide by the universe’s rules!
Because they want freedom.
Even in this real world, there is no complete freedom. Even in the celestial courts, heavenly rules exist.
“They” have observed human nature for tens of thousands of years, how could they possibly not understand what humans desire?
Genuine cultivators still read thousands of books and journey thousands of miles!
And energy is also contained within this 行 (journey/action).
However, those who can fully comprehend this are exceedingly rare.
Only by knocking open this gateway does the journey hold meaning!
Without knocking it open, you are merely one among the many tourists, hikers, or backpackers.
If it were that simple, wouldn’t everyone who walks around outdoors all day be cultivating? It’s not that simple, yet also not that difficult.
Do not ask me how to cultivate anymore. If you ask, the answer is: join the Fengshui Theory Group.
Everything will be taught in the course, but there are criteria to meet; acceptance isn’t guaranteed. Sincere interest only; no time-wasters.
Welcome to join my “Fengshui Study Theory Group.”
For any doubts, cultivation inquiries.
